Dan is an experienced communications and strategic adviser to leading government, business and not-for-profit organisations in New Zealand and the UK.
Working as a trusted adviser to leaders, Dan has the experience to ensure that their most challenging business and communications problems are managed and solved. Dan has a Bachelor of Commerce in Services Marketing and Market Research and is skilled in communications, business strategy and advocacy.
He was the founding partner at Ideas Shop before starting Latitude in February 2016. He has specialisations in sustainability and the environment.
Dan has received a number of awards for public information and behaviour change campaigns. He is a board member of a number of not-for- profit organisations.
Sam has worked for communications consultancies in New Zealand and the United Kingdom and held marketing and communications roles with public and private sector clients.
Sam provides strategic communications support to many of New Zealand’s largest listed and unlisted companies.
He is a founding director of Latitude and provides counsel to a wide range of clients with a strong focus on the primary production sector.
A former journalist in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, Sam is an experienced writer and has excellent relationships with the general and business news media. Sam has won a number of public relations awards, including an International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold Quill, two Chartered Institute of Public Relations Scotland prizes and received two prestigious European SABRE award nominations. Sam has a Bachelor of Communication Studies Degree from Auckland University of Technology.
Janice is a specialist in strategic communications and engagement, with strong senior management experience and a track record of advising executive teams and boards of directors.
As both a consultant and in-house, Janice has supported many public and private sector organisations to achieve their objectives.
Her extensive experience includes developing and delivering comprehensive communications plans for complex and high profile policy projects and transformation programmes, and supporting clients to effectively engage and consult.
A former journalist, Janice has a comprehensive understanding of New Zealand government, including nine years’ experience in the Prime Minister’s office and the Press Gallery.
Alice is an experienced communications consultant specialising in writing and media relations.
As a communications consultant and writer, Alice has extensive experience supporting public and private sector organisations to achieve desired outcomes. Skills include strategic communications planning and implementation and media relations.
With a journalistic background, Alice has extensive experience as a writer and editor across the full spectrum of client needs — from reports and strategy to thought leadership, media releases and web content, and management.
A former print media news and features journalist, Patricia has worked with communications companies in the UK and New Zealand for the past 18 years, including on several award-winning campaigns.
Her experience and strong interviewing, research and writing skills provide a versatility which sees her equally at home writing media releases, annual reports, newsletters, speeches, opinion editorials and in-depth features, case studies and video scripts for a wide range of organisations.
Patricia has a BA (Hons) degree from the University of Wales and is (UK) National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) qualified.
Briar is a skilled and experienced writer and editor with a background in journalism.
As a former journalist, including roles as a news editor and sub-editor, Briar is the consummate professional for writing and editing in plain English language and grammatical perfection.
